Set the default desktop search program

In Vista SP1 and above, it is possible to select the default desktop search program to use within Windows.

Copernic Desktop Search will automatically check if it is set as the default desktop search program when the main window is opened.  If it is not the default desktop search program, a message will be displayed giving you the choice to change this setting.

To manually enable or disable this verification, follow these simple steps:

  1. In the Tools menu, click Options.

  2. Select the Integration tab.

  3. In the Default desktop search section, check or un-check the Always check if Copernic Desktop Search is the default desktop search program option.

  4. Click OK to confirm.
