Executive Chairman
David Goldman was born on February 17, 1943 in Montreal, Quebec. He attended McGill University and graduated in 1965 with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering, and received an MBA from Concordia University in 1980. Following 35 years of senior executive leadership in the mining industry he is currently acting as a management consultant to industry and is Executive Chairman of Copernic Inc., a NASDAQ listed small cap technology company.
Previously, over 35 years he has occupied several senior management positions at Noranda Inc. including:
> Senior Vice-President, Metallurgical Operations, Noranda Minerals Inc. (1989-1991)
> Executive Vice President, Metallurgical Operations, Noranda Minerals Inc. (1991-1994)
> President and Chief Executive Officer of Noranda Metallurgy Inc. (1994-1997) and
> Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Noranda Inc. (1997-2001).
Mr. Goldman is currently a director of SNCLavalin Inc. (TSX), Jaguar Nickel Inc. (TSX), Copernic Inc. (NASDAQ), and Workbrain Inc. (TSX). He is Chair of Accurcast, a privately held aluminum die caster supplying North American automobile manufacturers. He recently completed his term as Chair of the Faculty of Engineering Advisory Board of McGill University and is a past Chair of the John Molson School of Business (Concordia University) MBA Case Competition Advisory Board. He has been a director of the following TSE corporations: Falconbridge Limited, Noranda Forest Inc., Tritech Ltd. and Phoenix Life Sciences Inc. |

Former Vice President of Rogers launching Canada’s second mobile phone network in 1984, Executive Vice President of a national paging carrier and Vice President of Microcell Telecom, commonly known as Fido; and formerly President of Digifax Communications and Gen24 Capital, providing business plan development, capitalization and strategic planning services to technology companies in Canada and India.
As Vice President and Senior Partner of CDP Capital (the Venture Capital investment arm of La Caisse de Dépôts et Placements du Québec), managed venture investments in a portfolio of 50 technology companies in North America and Europe and participated on the Board of Directors of many development stage companies in telecom and information technology. Obtained honors economics degree from the University of Montréal and participated in Harvard’s executive development program. |

Mr. Daniel Bertrand is a Chartered Accountant with 22 years experience in various business environments. Mr. Bertrand is an Officer of the corporation since 1999. Mr. Bertrand has spent the last 14 years in the High-Tech environment acting as Chief Financial Officer for various corporations such as Nova Expertise Solutions, Silonex Inc., AT&T Quebec Inc. and Coreco Inc. Mr. Bertrand has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sherbrooke University. |

His background as a software architect combined with his entrepreneurial mindset allows him to quickly identify market trends and understand the business opportunities behind them. Up to now, Mr. Bouchard has led more than a dozen successful product launches and has managed relationships with Copernic's major corporate customers. |
